It’s back to school time!! I’m so excited to get back in a routine and have a consistent schedule. I’m also a teeny bit excited to be packing Maddox’s lunch every day. He’ll be starting preschool (cue the mommy tears 😭) so I decided to dive in head first.
First, I ordered him a set of matching lunchbox and backpack with monogramming… cause duh. I ordered this one back in June when all the backpacks were on sale from PB Kids.
We’ve already had a set of these Yumboxes for about a year now and I am completely obsessed with them. If you’re not familiar, these are bento-type lunch boxes that are leakproof! Perfect for toddlers and young kids that like ranch or ketchup with EVERYTHING. 🙄
I know I will eventually fall into the rut of lunch box ideas but before that I thought I would give myself a little cheat sheet to get ahead. I made a list of (mostly) healthy choices to offer in his lunch box. That way I can pull this list up on my phone while I’m shopping and try and get some different things each week.
I’m also super dorky about writing him notes in his lunch box. I plan to handwrite most of them with my horrible drawings of dinosaurs and rocket ships but on days I’m in hurry I printed some of these so I can just throw in there and be done.
