Weekend Recap- Trains, Shopping & Family

It was a beautiful weekend, the weather was perfect, the kids were healthy and we were busy every. single. second. Maddox just turned 3 and Mia is 16 months so we thought it would be fun to go to the Thomas the Train event held in Grapevine. I didn’t really know what to expect but I’m so glad we did it. We all had such a great time!

We saw “the real” Thomas!

This was a huge deal, giving him our tickets to hop on board!

I am so glad we got to have a little family night out doing something fun that we all enjoyed so much!

The next morning started Mommy’s Day Out!! We met early, stocked up on caffeine and hit the road!

A road trip is never complete without a stop at Buc-ee’s!

After a LOT of shopping we made it to dinner at a really cool place called the Rustic in Dallas. We didn’t feel cool enough to be there!

I can always count on these girls to let loose and have a little bit of fun!!

Meanwhile, daddy did an amazing job holding down the fort! He even sent me pictures throughout the day for extra points!

Our neighborhood spring festival was the perfect activity!

Sunday went by SO FAST! It started out with all these cuties at our Home Group!

We got to witness two of our friends get baptized!

I love that the kids got to see the parents demonstrate the symbolism of baptism!

We made it to our cousin’s first birthday. Happy Birthday Auburn!!!

We are all loving Nonni’s new hair cut. We are continually praying for her and her doctors, Thursday’s the big day! We know all will go just fine!

We ended the night visiting our newest little nephew Jackson Gordon Riggs. Y’all, he is the cutest, most adorable baby in the entire world!!! I wanted to hold him and never let go. Can you tell I am so giddy in this picture?! Newborns just do something to a momma!
