This has been a fun time of year, the weather is warming up and we’ve been spending a lot of time outside. It’s also the prime time for fun summer outfits for my kids. Let’s face it, rompers and shorts are waaaay cuter than sweatpants and jackets!
It also gives me another reason to decorate!
Okay, back to baskets…
I took the plunge and purchased the kid’s liner for their Easter baskets from Pottery Barn, but I took the cheap route on the actual basket. Maybe in a few years when the kids are older I’ll get some that are more sturdy but for now Hobby Lobby had the perfect size baskets. I realized Maddox’s basket is waaaay to big, see his first hunt here… he was practically dragging it along. Oh well, he’ll grow into it right?
Mia’s basket is simple. I ordered these adorable bunny ears with a bow from Gold and Arrows and I’m obsessed!!
I also bought her first bunny! It is the softest jelly cat bunny with pink monogram spelling Mia Lynn. I am in love!
I also got her this cute little tutu onsie!
And of course I stuffed her basket with a new sleep blanket and some more bows, including this cute one!!!
I ordered this cute little T shirt for Maddox from Scrapindipitees shop.
I also wanted to do some useful stuff while keeping it simple. Needless to say, books are always a must! I had to start checking out books from my school library because Maddox is flying through our home library. And when I say “flying” I mean he wants to be read to for like an hour every night before bed. So we are getting tired of the same ones! Haha So I ordered a few more Sandra Boynton books (which we are obsessed with).
I love that they have Greatest Hits (box sets). This would be a great gift for a new mom or growing toddler! Every Boynton book we own has been well loved!
I also ordered this Buckle Toy from Amazon, I think he’ll really like playing with it. Maybe we’ll keep it in the car to keep him occupied.
I wanted to fill his eggs with something other than candy so I used some goldfish, some stickers and some of these cute finger sporks. Not quite sure if they’ll work but I bet he’ll like playing with them if anything. My friend Carley told me about filling them with yogurt covered raisins, so I’m going to try that too!
I can’t wait to celebrate with these two babes. Have a beautiful Easter holiday with your family and remember the reason for celebrating… He is risen!
Happy Easter!

Ok all your decorations look great. Mia with those bunny ears are adorable. Their baskets look great. Have a wonderful Easter with your sweet family
