Well, it happened. My little boy turned two.
What is happening to this world? Why can’t my babies stay little forever?! My heart is so full of joy that this little boy brings us on a daily basis. I could have NEVER imagined the love that I have for him, the boy that made me a mommy.
I have memorized every. single. detail of this face so I just thought I’d give you an idea of what I see and dream about each day. The many faces of Maddox Zachary.
We started his birthday weekend off with Memaw and Nay coming into town and Sissy and Vinny coming over… only to end up stuck inside for 4 days due to a major snow storm that hit North Texas. Although we had a blast playing in the snow it caused us to postpone the birthday party to the following weekend. So Memaw couldn’t make it and Aunt Sissy was in London for her and Vinny’s wedding anniversary…. so here’s what we did to celebrate when they were here.
Rainforest Cafe was the perfect place to celebrate!
A little afraid at first but Aunt Sissy to the rescue!
The morning of his birthday we woke him up with balloons in his bed and he LOVED it!

We missed Aunt Sissy and Uncle Vinny but they definitely spoiled him with love and attention the WHOLE time they were here!
When the party day arrived we were so glad the sun came out, it ended up being a nice day!

He was smittened seeing his cousins and all his friends!
We are so blessed to call these people friends and family!
We missed our family who couldn’t make it but we understand due to the last minute change.
We were sure to enjoy plenty of time with our littles!!
Although we kept it pretty low key with pizza and snacks the cookies and cake were all about jammin’ with Maddox!
