I went back to my roots and read FOUR thrillers this month! And every single one was better than the last. Even the two contemporary fiction I read were excellent. I mean, what a great month of reading!
Let’s start with a synopsis…
This novel is about two women- one a con artist who we see getting away with robbing people and vanishing before they have a clue and a reporter whose world is imploding after being tipped off by the con artist. Two paths- not meant to collide- intersect and evolve…
Not all people who make bad decisions are malicious. This one is a bit subjective so you may reconsider the idea of Robin Hood. Revenge… what does it mean to you?
I really enjoyed this one. I found myself immersed in the plot line right away. I mean, who doesn’t love a revenge story? This one is fascinating, and a bit addictive. You won’t want to put it down until the very last page.

Loved it! This was lighthearted, intelligent, and full of swoony romance. It felt perfectly put-together and an enjoyable read. I literally had a smile on my face during the majority of this book and laughed out loud multiple times, (especially during the cow scene). If you’re looking for something that has a little bit of everything, then please check this one out. Grief, hope, love, humor, romance, all wrapped in one lovely bouquet of goodness!

This was dark, disturbing and thought-provoking. This was like reading an entire Criminal Minds season. If that is your vibe then you should totally read this and get inside the mind of a man on death row with only 12 hours left to live.

This one was a delightful read that was the perfect amount of real-life, silly humor, friendships, and romance.
Here’s a quick recap of the plot. When former actress turned audiobook narrator Sewanee (pronounced Swan-nee) finds out one of the biggest names in romance wanted her to narrate her last book, she reluctantly agrees, even though she doesn’t buy into the idea of romance. The last thing she expects to find is a real connection with co-narrator and audiobook star Brock McNight.
After reading My Oxford Year I fell in love with Whalen. But after listening to her narrate multiple audiobooks I fell even further in love. She is an excellent author and an even better narrator. This book combines the two and really takes you into the world of audiobooks!

Dark and disturbing filled with crime podcasts, cults, & sinister secrets oh my!
This book pushes the boundaries of what is acceptable literary fiction in our society. It will make you a little uncomfortable, it will scare the crap out of you and it will stick with you long after you read the last page. If you have any history of misogyny, I highly recommend you check the trigger warnings. But if you like this type of fiction, I think you will enjoy this one. It starts as a slow burn, but stick with it because it will have you reeling throughout!
Shay is listening to her favorite true crime podcast when she hears about the death of a woman, turns out it is her best friend from college. She and her childhood friend/podcaster decide to investigate.

This domestic thriller DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I think it might be one of my favorite books I’ve read so far this year! Gosh, I loved every minute of it. I need you all to read it so we can obsess over this together.
In the first chapter, our main character Jen witnesses her teenage son commit a crime. When she wakes up it’s the previous day.
I can’t tell you how incredibly well-written this book was, even though “time-travel” doesn’t really sound very intriguing THIS one is. There was so much mystery, you had to peel back the layers to get to the bottom of it all.
Why are you still here? Go get this book and start reading it!!
