Ya’ll! I am so excited to be writing my monthly book reviews again! I have taken a huge hiatus but now I’m back and I hope to be sharing lots of great books with you in the coming months.
This was such a great story! Told in multiple perspectives and timelines it will suck you right in! After Abby is in a car accident that kills her brother and she can never forgive herself. 20 years she is living in the suburbs with her husband (who saved her from that crash) and the new neighbors move in and wreck havoc on their lives. This is a good one with a twisty ending that will have you holding your breath til the end!
I will start by saying I (usually) LOVE Moriarty’s books. I really enjoyed The Husband’s Secret and Big Little Lies but this one did not make the cut. It was too long, repetitive and just weird. You might skip this one friends.
Woah, just woah! This one is about a woman who’s 15 year old daughter goes missing! The disappearance just about breaks her… until years later she gathers up the pieces and meets a handsome and charming man named Floyd. After a few weeks of dating she meets his youngest daughter, Poppy who has a strong resemblance to her missing daughter! This one is a page turner for sure, you won’t want to put it down until you find out what happened to these two families woven together by one individual. Dun Dun DUUUUUNNNN!
I saved the best for last. Y’all this one is not only my favorite of the month but may be my favorite of the year! I loved reading this uplifting book about the lies we tell ourselves as moms and wives and how to BREAK FREE from them. She has a biblical background and makes you laugh throughout this story with her fun-loving personality and realness! I just loved this one and if you’re a mom, wife or a woman then this is a MUST READ!
