This year for our friendly vacation we took a road trip to Port Aransas! We rented a 15 passenger van and loaded up 6 kids, (all under the age of 4) 7 adults and drove the 10 hours to the coast.
It took us 10 hours but the kids did surprisingly well, we stopped a lot for potty breaks, feedings and playtime (thank goodness for McDonald’s/Chick-fil-A play place)! The kids played, sang, slept and watched ipads and it was a great success!
After a long but FUN trip we pulled up to this beauty!
Our house was called “The Salty Lime” and the families were Bass, Waltenburg & Moore so our hashtag for the week was #BMWattheSaltyLime. We shared some of our favorites on Instagram, check it out!
We got settled in right away and enjoyed some dinner on the balcony.
And poured some cold drinks…
The next morning we woke up bright and early and walked down to the beach…
Maddox absolutely HATED the sand. He could not stand for his toes to touch the gritty sand. It was so frustrating but now I can laugh about it… he is his mother’s son for sure.
Mia loved every minute of the fresh air and perfect view.
Love these girls and their babies so much!

My girl!
Day 2…
Look at that beach babe!
Rolls on rolls 🙂
Probably my favorite picture of all time.
So many helicopters!
Who doesn’t like a little nap on the beach?
Our second night we took a little cruise to see dolphins!
We saw some dolphins and a beautiful sunset!
The next day the dads enjoyed a little golf time while we took the kids to the pool!
Silly daddys!
We loved periscoping with them and the kids loved watching them play golf live!
We thought it would be cute if the kids held hands and jumped in together… haha
Dinner out!
Then pictures on the beach.
These guys were too cute…
But THIS was a moment to always remember!
The last night the dads took the big kids to see the USS Lexington and the girls stayed home with the littles and played a little dress up!
All in all we had a fabulous week! I’m so thankful for friends that love my kids like their own.
I can’t wait to see what next year’s vacation brings! #jumponthree
