The Wives – Okay, imagine that your husband has two other wives. But it’s okay because you were actually the second wife so you knew about the first and then agreed to the third. But as time goes on Thursday, (yes her name is the same as the day he spends with her) starts to get curious about Seth’s other wives. Once she finds out their names, she can’t seem to stop and that takes her on a wild, twisted ride! This one was addicting, I could not put it down. One that will leave you guessing ’til the end!
No One Ever Asked – This one is about an impoverished school that loses accreditation and may send their students to an affluent school named Crystal Ridge. It is told in three p.o.v.’s and each woman has a vastly different world view and it was so compelling hearing from each of them! There are so many uncomfortable yet important issues covered in this novel like racism, adoption, abuse and so much more.. It is a must read!
Open Book – This book is absolutely wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend listening to the audiobook. she narrates it herself and I loved getting to know her through her own voice. Not to mention, hearing the emotions creep through as she shares about a particular tough time. Yes, Jessica spills the beans about everything. She lets you know exactly what happened behind the scenes of her reality show marriage to Nick, how obnoxious John Mayer is 🙄 and her relationship with Tony Romo. She talks about growing up in the spotlight and how she has overcome alcohol addiction, abuse and plastic surgery. Not to mention, she is funny! She was completely and utterly raw. The only thing I wanted to hear more about was her dad, but she really left that for him to explain. Definitely one of my favorite autobiographies from a celebrity.
Behind Closed Doors – I have to start by saying B.A. Paris has not let me down yet! After The Breakdown and Bring Me Back I knew I could count on her for another psych-thriller with a mystery and a few twists… and boy was I right! This one has been on my TBR pile for a while and when my girlfriend asked me about it, I immediately started it. It’s about a wealthy, charming couple, that are inseparable. Everything seems perfect…. but everything is never what it seems.
Read it! It’s so good!
