Hey guys, I’m excited to open my doors and welcome ya’ll into the Moore house. We’ve lived here a little over a year and there are STILL things I’m working on completing so hang in there and tell me what you think!
I’m actually starting with the playroom because it’s my favorite room in the house. It’s upstairs, out of the way and out of sight which makes it great for a kids play junk room!
This gate closes off the room so it’s perfect to keep the crazies inside, away from the stairs.
This is my only form of adult decoration in this room. I wanted to give it a “homey” feel with photos of our family. The frames are mostly from Hobby Lobby and the book ledge is from Ikea.
This shelving unit is seriously the best. It’s from Pottery Barn as well as the baskets and chalkboard labels.
This little book nook is where we house all of most of our books. It’s a great way to use this empty little hallway.
My sweet friend Carley gifted us this train table and it has served many purposes, we love it!
Don’t look too closely at all the toys stuffed inside the drawers. 😉
A little tent corner for silly boys.
Who can forget our million instruments that get used on a daily basis.
Like I said this is my favorite room because we spend so much time up here making crazy memories.
Maddox’s room is my second favorite room in the house. When I was pregnant with Mia, Zach and I worked on his room endlessly and put A LOT of thought into every detail. In my eyes it’s the perfect toddler room.
I got a ton of inspiration from Pinterest, click here to see Maddox’s room inspiration board.
His door…
I had a vision of this cool baseball sign so I bought the materials and Zach painted it and made it come to life!
First of all, can I point out the magnificent bead board and blue walls… I’m so thankful for Zach having a construction background, he is brilliant at visualizing and creating our vision. He should definitely have one of those flipping shows, he’s THAT good at it.
The baseball canvas is from Etsy, the lamp, frames and glass vase are from Hobby Lobby and the baseball piggy bank is from Amazon.
My mom got him the cute little chair/step stool for his birthday last year.
Here’s a little close up. We still have a monitor on him (for mommy’s peace of mind.)
Love this corner, it’s his favorite spot to sit and read or be silly! His first year birthday poster is on top and I LOVE his name letters from Urban Outfitters. We used them in his nursery like this…
On this opposite wall we have his caricature picture my dad got him in New York of Maddox swinging a baseball bat. Love the little train name blocks from Nonnie!
This bed was a perfect transition for Maddox when Mia got here, he did really well and hardly ever tried to climb out. The bedding is from Pottery Barn.
Necessities…sound machine and bibles and a little photo album below.
Bringing a little more red into the mix. On the bottom shelf is Maddox’s collection of postcards of PawPaw’s travels, we’ll need a bigger board soon!
Here’s his little sink area that connects to a Jack and Jill bathroom.
And I just adore this little wood sign from PB kids on the opposite wall.
Mia’s room is a temporary nursery downstairs because we will eventually (probably in a few months) move her upstairs to the room next to Maddox. Ahhh big kid! So that’s my excuse for not painting and making it super crazy pink and girly! But don’t worry, I will transform the room upstairs when the time comes!
Here’s a view into her room.
I really love the monogram wood sign above her crib we painted it pink and it adds the perfect touch.
On the opposite wall is her changing table, I’d really like to do a gallery wall here but since this will be the guest room eventually we Zach didn’t want too many nail holes so I opted for my favorite newborn canvas of her instead.
This shelf is kind of a “catch all” right now. Lots of this stuff I’d like to hang up on her wall eventually.
I do love these cute little ombre painted mason jars.
If you haven’t heard of Baby Lit you must check them out. It’s a fabulous line of classic literature books in toddler form, they are adorable!! I’m currently reading Romeo and Juliet to Mia before bedtime.
Here’s her sound machine, her adorable little monogrammed bunny from Peek A Whoo and a little glitter/heart canvas I made.
I absolutely adore this ribbon banner my sister made for my baby shower, it adds just the right amount of color and lace to her room. I think she’s going to start adding different color ribbon banners to her Etsy shop! And her cute little Babla doll is a fav as well.
Moving on to our Master bedroom, we decided to go with a light blue color for the walls and white/beige for the decor.
I love the openness of the windows and all the natural light it brings in.
I also love the curtains closed it’s still very bright and cozy.
Most of the bedding is from Macy’s, pillow and throw blanket from Home Goods.
The only thing on our walls are these canvases of our kids in similar poses. They’re both black and white so they match really well.
I like to know what people have on their nightstands so I thought I’d give you a close up of mine. A few books that I’ve read stacked up, my bible and bible study and the book I’m currently reading A Husband’s Secret. My friend Meryl let me borrow it and I can’t put it down! I also have my diffuser and chap stick and of course the monitor to keep up with my kiddos.
Before we moved in it was very plain and NOT functional at all. My awesome husband spent days and days working on this project until it was exactly what he wanted.
He built two rows on each side for each of our clothes and created that center section for our dresser and a vanity mirror.
On the near side he built ALL of these shelves for our shoes….
My hero!
Isn’t he so organized?!
Last up our main living space.
This is our kitchen looking in from the living room.
And here’s the opposite view.
Finally our entry way table, which is one of my favorite pieces of furniture we have.
Zach’s office is right off the entrance hallway.
This was when we closed on our house last year, when Mia was just a teeny tiny peanut.
So happy to link up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesdays. I realized I went a little a lot out of order but you get the idea. Hopefully you stuck around to see everything. I’d love to hear from you guys, just leave a comment below. 🙂
