These two months are combined because for most of December I didn’t read a single thing. But I still wanted to review what I managed to read, so here we go.
This one was one of my Book Of The Month picks and I’m so glad I chose it!
This one had a storyline that captured me immediately. As if that wasn’t enough this atmospheric vibe was utterly chilling. It really creeped me out and made me feel like I was there. I could smell the smoke filling the air, I could feel the crunch of the old bedspreads, and I could hear the banging on the door near the office. Y’all this one was so good!

This one was intense and disturbing. The book is loosely based on actual events, and it begins with a retelling about serial killers in the 70s, so it was eerily creepy following through with the book. There was nothing overly graphic, but your mind fills in the blanks leaving you extremely uncomfortable. It got a little twisty for me, and I didn’t like the fact that it was mostly about teenage girls. Check for trigger warnings, if you’re interested.

I love that this one was about an influencer who finds her career in pieces when she supposedly made a post that has gone viral in only a few hours. It got me hooked right away. The assistant goes missing and the mystery of her disappearance along with the post she doesn’t remember doing keeps you on your toes. I did appreciate the entertainment of it all and the twists were unexpected.

This book was INSANE! It was so gripping and the perfect mystery that leaves you turning the pages to get to the ANSWER! Liv Reese wakes up in the back of a taxi and has no idea of how she got there. What’s worse, her arms are covered in pen scribbles with the most cryptic messages reminding her to “stay awake” and “trust no one”. It only gets worse and more terrifying each time she finds herself falling asleep and then waking up to the same nightmare. The other point of view was of the police investigator, Halliday who is trying to find a murderer who left a cryptic message on the window saying “Stay Awake” at the crime scene.
This addicting thriller will keep you up at night and on the edge of your seat!
