We are going on our first trip as a family of three and I am sooo excited… and extremely frightened! Maddox is almost 5 months so we have a lot to consider. Although we’re traveling with a very close group of friends (who also have kids) we are a little worried about the flight, car rides and a new place to get used to for 5 days!
I think it will be fine (maybe a little stressful) but it will be great making memories with Maddox and our friends!
The reason this is “Part 1” is because it’s kinda the “before” post; what I’m packing, how I’m preparing, etc. Part 2 will be how the trip actually went, what I used, what I didn’t use…
you get the idea.
So, here we go, starting out with the packing list.
Traveling Necessities:
Car Seat & Cover
Carry On (Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag) I love this bag for travel because it has the option of using a backpack strap!
Checked Luggage (large duffle)
Stroller
Travel Bassinet (we fit that inside the car seat cover)
What to pack for a 4 month old:
One sleeve of Pampers diapers (we can always buy more if we need them)
2 packs Huggies Wipes
1 pack of antibacterial wipes
1 halo swaddle
travel monitor
numerous burp cloths
5 cloth bibs
Various outfits: 2 a day (just in case of a blow out)
1 hoodie
4 jammies
various socks
Swim shorts, swim shirt & swim diaper
bucket hat
assorted toys & books (we love the Indestructibles)
nursing cover
disposable diaper trash bags
hand sanitizer
clip on stroller fan
breast pump & 2 bottles
bottle warmer
2 Aden & Anais blankets
2 clip on pacifiers
baby carrier
baby Tylenol (hopefully we won’t need it, but just in case)
Toiletries:
Baby body wash/shampoo
3 wash cloths
1 hooded towel
sunblock
baby powder
baby lotion
So there you have it, my first attempt at packing and traveling for my little guy! Hopefully I got everything covered, if not, we’ll make it work!
Ahhh, pray for us!

Safe travels! Praying for y'all!
Hope y'all have fun. I can't wait to see updates. Love yall
